In 2023, ETP4HPC organised a full day conference on 8 March, prior to the annual General Assembly. Our members enjoyed this time dedicated to presentations of interest to our community, and the coffee breaks and networking dinner provided an opportunity for lively exchanges between members. Our new members were particularly pleased to make new friends at this first face-to-face General Assembly since 2019!

We were delighted to welcome as keynote speakers Dr. Gustav Kalbe, Acting Director for Digital Excellence and Science Infrastructure at DG CNECT, Anders Dam Jensen, Executive Director at EuroHPC JU, and Peter Bauer, Director for Destination Earth at ECMWF.

In the afternoon, two Bird-of-a-Feather sessions allowed our members to get involved and share and learn. The BoF on the "Future Process of Creating the ETP4HPC SRA" was particularly well attended and provided interesting insights for our further work. Then in the info-afternoon, several of our TCI partners shared information about calls for proposals in areas related to HPC that might be of interest to our members. Finally, the Networking Marketplace provided an opportunity for several of our members, especially new members, to present their activities and ideas for collaboration to everyone and to make useful contacts.
