E-Cam (CoE) - Exascale State of the Art Workshop, July 6-7, Barcelona

E-CAM - Centre of Excellence - Extreme-Scale State-of-the-Art Workshop took place on July 6-7, at CECAM-ES, University of Barcelona. The central goal of this 1st E-CAM Extreme-Scale State-of-the-art Workshop was to provide a forum for fellow E-CAM application end-users and developers to:

  • Identify emerging extreme-scale computing requirements across the centre, including from both academia and industry partners
  • Increase the centre’s awareness of current and emerging HPC hardware and software technologies on the road to exascale computing
  • Increase the centre’s awareness of PRACE services (Advanced Training, software enablement, and industry interactions)
  • Interface with other members of the European HPC community
  • Identify themes of future interest for the centre on the road to exascale computing

ETP4HPC was invited to make a presentation on our perspective on HPC hardware. Marcin Ostasz, an ETP4HPC Office expert, gave  a presention on 'The Role of the Extreme-Scale Demonstrators in the development of the European HPC Eco-system'  on Thursday the 6th.
