If you feel that your organisation as an end-user or ISV user can contribute to this process please contact us at: office@etp4hpc.eu. We will be issuing invitations to this event upon the approval of our ISC’16 workshop submission in the 2nd half of March 2016. We appreciate your support on this matter and we are counting on your participation. Please familiarise yourself with a short summary of this event below. Further details will be available in due course.
ETP4HPC (ww.etp4hpc.eu) is an industry-led advisory think tank of companies and research centres involved in High-Performance Computing technology research in Europe. Its aim is to build a world-class HPC Technology Supply Chain, increase the global share of European HPC and HPC technology vendors and maximise the benefit of HPC technology for the European HPC user community.

ETP4HPC issues and maintains its Strategic Research Agenda as a mechanism to provide contextual guidance to European Researchers and Businesses but also to guide EU priorities for research in the Horizon 2020 HPC programme. This SRA delineates a roadmap for the achievement of European exascale capabilities focusing on the following areas: HPC System Architecture and Components, Energy and Resiliency, Programming Environment, System Software and Management, Big Data and HPC Usage Models, Balance Compute, I/O and Storage Performance, Mathematics and algorithms for extreme scale HPC systems and Extreme-Scale Demonstrators. This work is carried out with the EXDCI project aimed at coordinating the European HPC strategy.

The opinion of the European users of HPC technology is invaluable in the process of defining its SRA. The objective is to obtain feedback from:
• Industrial End-users
• Independent Software Vendors (ISVs)
• Centres of Excellence for Computing Applications (CoEs)

The event will be divided into two parts to which different stakeholder groups will be invited:
1. Industrial HPC End-users and Independent Software Vendors – 3 hrs
2. Centres of Excellence for Computing Applications – 2 hrs

Each of the sessions will begin with a presentation of the SRA priorities by the ETP4HPC team. The participants will then be requested to provide their feedback based on a template provided prior to the event. Each session will end with a discussion on the feedback provided. A report on each session will be issued. ETP4HPC will also outline its future action plan to address the comments received in the following SRA issue (due mid-2017).
