Sisyphus’ work: adapting applications to new HPC architectures - a European perspective

Wednesday, 20 November from 12:15pm to 1:15pm in room 501-502 of the Colorado Convention Center.

This year again, we have organised a Birds-of-a-Feather (BoF) session at the Supercomputing Conference 19 (SC19) in Denver. This event, co-organised with EXDCI, has a very good track record, accepted every year since 2014!

This year, we suggested a different flavour: instead of presenting European and international updates, this event saw an extremely dynamic discussion on the endless (Sisyphean) task of adapting applications to the ever-changing heterogeneous architectures. Speakers and panelists from Europe and overseas were present to analyse this phenomenon (click on their names to see the slides they showed).

Panellists:

We will be back in 2020 to provoke another fiery discussion on of the current topics affecting the entire global HPC community.
