We organised a Bird-of-a-Feather (BoF) session at Supercomupting Conference 15 (SC15) with an objective to present all European HPC technology projects (origiating from both the Framework 7 and Horizon 2020 programmes) and help them initiate collaborations with overseas partners. The session was a sucess - the interest exceeded the capacity of the room. The details of this BoF are available in the flyer issued prior to the event.

We have issued a European HPC Technology Handbook and a report summarising the conclusions of the BoF. The main presentation used at the BoF is available here (and here are the slides of Mr Sato of Riken and Franck Capello of Argonne National Laboratory).

Our objective is to organise a similar BoF session at SC16 (13-18 Nov 2016, Salt Lake City, Utah) with an objective to present the progress of all European HPC technology projects and discuss the mechanisms that would help them develop international collaboration links. We are also planning on issuing an updated version of the Handbook - to be available prior to SC16.
