The e-IRG Workshop is now organised as a series of three webinars organised within the framework of Croatia's Presidency of the Council of the European Union by the e-IRG Secretariat and the University of Zagreb, the University Computing Centre (SRCE) with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education. Initially planned as a physical meeting the workshop will now be organised as a series of three webinar, which will be held on same days as originally planned.

Each webinar will address one of the three top challenges for the further development of e-Infrastructures in the European Research Area and beyond: development of adequate skills, the partnerships between related stakeholders within and across national boundaries, and the sharing of data under the FAIR principles, within and across scientific domains, institutions and countries.

These three key challenges should be addressed in order to advance and implement a fully-functioning European Research Area, being inclusive, collaborative, seamlessly connected and open. The e-Infrastructure Commons comprises high-performance and high-throughput computing, leading-edge data and software, high-speed connectivity networks and related services. These, federated via the European Open Science Cloud and EuroHPC, are key components of the European Research Area and have a clear policy perspective.

The e-IRG workshops attract policy makers and funders, the e-Infrastructure providers and researchers on both the national and the European level and provide a platform for information exchange and networking of participants.

ETP4HPC will take part in the webinar scheduled on 25 May afternoon Future skills in the new European Research Area. ETP4HPC will be represented by two members of the Steering Board: Fabrizio Magugliani (E4) and Dr. Jean-Philippe Nominé (CEA).
