We are heading to ICT'18 event (4-6 Dec 2018, Vienna) with a Networking Session "Common priorities of HPC, Big Data and HiPEAC for post-H2020 era" that will take place on December 5 (9:00 to 9:45 in Hall L4).

The objective of this session co-organised with BDVA is to obtain feedback from the Public on the European HPC/Big Data HPC post-Horizon 2020 priorities.

BDVA and ETP4HPC are in progress of defining the European priorities in both areas for the post-H2020 era: What will be next? What will be the role of Big Data technologies, High-Performance Computing and related technologies in the post Horizon 2020 era? What should be the main priorities of the EC Framework Programme 9? What will be the key assumptions in the next roadmaps of the two organisations and related documents in the areas of IoT and AI?

We will present the main directions developed in the post-H2020 ‘Vision’ documents of the two organisations (HPC Vision and Big Data Vision). These recommendation will have been defined by world-class experts and members of both associations through a number of joint workshops and other interactions. The two respective ‘Vision’ documents are being developed jointly in order to align the priorities defined. This work involves a number of support documents such as ‘Big Data/HPC Use Case Review’. The deadline for the delivery of finished documents is Q1 2019.
