IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center (IT4Innovations), as the national supercomputing center of the Czech Republic, provides state-of-the-art technologies and services in the fields of high performance computing and makes it available for Czech and international research teams from academia and industry. IT4Innovations currently operates two supercomputers, Anselm (94TFLOPS Rpeak, installed in summer 2013) and Salomon (2PFLOPS Rpeak, installed in summer 2015). Salomon supercomputer ranks in summer 2016 as #55 in the world and is the most powerful supercomputer in Europe running on Xeon Phi™ coprocessors. Besides providing infrastructure and support, IT4Innovations provides regular training for the HPC community and offers MSc and PhD opportunity in the field of HPC.
IT4Innovations is listed on the National Roadmap for Large Infrastructures for Research, Experimental Development and Innovations as one of the three large e-infrastructures in the Czech Republic with the clear link to Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe where IT4Innovations represents the Czech Republic.
Besides being the large infrastructure, IT4Innovations is also R&D center with strong international links. The center currently participates in dozen of international project, mostly FP7 and H2020 with top academic and industrial partners. IT4Innovations is also the only Intel Parallel Computing Center (IPCC) in new member states of European Union. The IPCC at IT4Innovations is developing highly parallel algorithms and libraries optimized for latest Intel parallel technologies.
IT4Innovations has 121 employees in full time equivalent, where 80 are in the R&D part of the center, 19 are in the infrastructure operation part of the center and 22 are in management and administration.
