MEGWARE is a Chemnitz-based company. Founded in 1990, it established itself as a provider of complete IT solutions during the 1990s. For almost 30 years, inventive genius, customer reach and flexibility have been part of our strengths.
In 2000, we received our first order in the field of High Performance Computing. The MEGWARE “CLiC” system for the Chemnitz University of Technology was acknowledged as having the best priceperformance ratio worldwide and rose to position 126 of the renowned TOP500 list.
To date, we’ve commissioned numerous supercomputers across Europe, several of which have been included in the TOP500 list of the world’s most powerful HPC systems. MEGWARE TOP500 clusters are located for example at the universities in Mainz, Oslo, Vienna, Bayreuth, Münster and Frankfurt.
We are a medium-sized company where you will find all departments under one roof. High Performance Computing is our core business. Since 2000, we have focussed on this. Systems from MEGWARE are used for computing purposes in enterprises from a wide range of industries as well as in universities and research institutions from Germany and Europe.
We are a full-service provider in the field of supercomputing. From assembling and testing the complete system up to the handing -over on a turn-key basis and any required service and support work – you receive all from one single source. Our HPC engineers develop new concepts and transform them into ready-to-use solutions. We offer innovative in-house developments such as SlideSX®LC, direct water cooling with ColdCon®, and the ClustWare® cluster management and monitoring tool. We cooperate with well-known technology partners in the market and place great importance on long-term and reliable relations.
