scapos AG was founded in December 2008 for the sales, marketing and support of technical computing software. Its products include: optimisation software, the co-simulation environment MpCCI and scalable solver libraries SAMG from Fraunhofer-SCAI; the HPC library GPI from Fraunhofer-ITWM. The business of Scapos is the distribution of advanced software solutions, particularly from research and academic institutes. Its customers range from large research institutes and industrial corporations to SMEs. In addition to its own sales and marketing activities, scapos works with more than 20 distribution partners’ worldwide. Since early 2011, the company has targeted the expansion of its activities into the HPC area, Cloud computing and service provision, focusing on support, project management and the development of new business opportunities for both existing and developing software solutions. scapos is currently involved in the European Commission projects ExaNoDe, EXDCI, Fortissimo and Fortissimo-2.
